My Sports

I play many kinds of sports. One of them is badminton. I've started to play badminton since I was 8 years old. The one taught me was my father. He also contributed in badminton during his time of youth. I'm not really that much of a professional in badminton but I can say I could be your practice partner. Other than that. I once played football but now I rarely play them because I'm more of guy who play sports using their hand. For example, I play basketball, volleyball, bowling and table tennis. During my school days, I represented my school as a volleyball player. Our team ended up in the quarter-final. Despite the fact that we lost but the experience was a memorable one.

My Hobby

Ultimately, my hobby is to eat. I'll spend most of the time eating whether it's a fast food or a proper meal. Usually I'll eat 3 times a day but sometimes I'll eat four which includes tea time. I really don't care about spending money on foods because I value foods as the most worth-spending above all other things.  I won't judge a food' s price if  it's quality is  worth the money. Undeniably, foods can make us happy. I like to be happy. So, I love to eat.

Second Practical Assignment (Thinking Map)

Hey guys! I'm back with another assignment done and submitted to my lecturer. This week's assignment was to create a few types of thinking maps. As usual, our lecturer talked about the thinking maps and its functionality and benefits in our daily life especially for us students here in Selangor Matriculation College. Each thinking maps has their uses such as the Flow Map to show the process of how a letter is converted to binary form and back. Some thinking maps are used to classify things. For an example, the Tree Maps are to be used to classify and I used it to classify the components of computers. We had to submit at least three thinking maps.

Our lecturer Sir Suhumaran gave us two whole weeks to create the thinking maps. As usual my laziness is one of the obstacles that I can't overcome up to this very moment. I finished my and submitted my assignment at the eleventh hour but not that late as much as last week's assignment. I was pretty much satisfied with my work although my friends' works are much better than mine. At least I gave it my full effort and was happy with the outcome. Here is my "full effort" thinking maps :

First Practical Assignment (Brochure)

This was my very first practical in computer science. My whole class had to create a tri-fold brochure. For me it was my first experience on creating a brochure. I've never thought that one day in the future that I will have to create brochures in my life. Our lecturer, Sir Suhumaran gave us some guidance beforehand. We were given a few options on how to create a brochure through some well-known software which were Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher. I chose to use Microsoft Publisher mainly because its functions are to create things to publish.

The contents of our brochure were given by our lecturer but still there were a some options to choose.  I chose categories of computers as my content as its informations are easy to be summarised and compressed into a brochure. At first, I planned to make it a simple brochure with a white background and black-coloured letters. The contents were easy to be transformed into a more reader-friendly and eye soothing kind of information.

On the night before the day of submission, I took a peek at my friends brochure and saw their brochures were very colourful and had a lot of designs and pictures whereas mine was very lame compared to the others.
Lastly, I ended up editing my brochure all over again and beautify it a bit more. My brochure finally looks like this :

The front side of my brochure which consists of simple information about my brochure. Yes, that's Steve Jobs with his quote.
The back side of the brochure which pretty much shows the minimalists side of me.

Introduction to Myself

Hello! My name is Muhamad Syazwan Bin Mokhtar. I'm 18 years old. I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I love to eat. I'm currently a one-year program student at Selangor Matriculation College. Usually I don't share my personal information to public but this time I have to because creating a blog is my current assignment for my practical in the subject computer science. Nevertheless, lazy or not I have to finish my assignment before the dateline. Plus, I'm starting to feel more comfortable to share my information. I think that creating a blog is a way to release stress and prevent depression. Thus, here I am, exploring this whole new world of blogging and getting my way to another interesting adventure of my life.
